Facebook announces “order food” features for local restaurants

Facebook officially announced today its new feature that allows users to order food in local restaurants using their application. Instead of competing directly with other food ordering services, Facebook collaborates with several industry players in this effort, including EatStreet,, DoorDash, ChowNow, Olo, Zuppler, and Slice. He also works with restaurant chains directly, like Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John, Wingstop, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Jimmy John’s and Panera.

Users can find the new “Order food” option in the Explorer menu of the Facebook application, where you can browse the restaurants in the area and click “Start Order” when you know what you want.

Orders can be ordered or delivered, and if you already have a account, you can use your existing ID. Otherwise, you can sign up for a account directly in the Facebook app, says the company.
